Ann Christin about the musical:

Ann Christin als Mina

"It was very exciting to be a part of a "new" show, didn't know much except for a rough storyline (thankx to the movie Bram Stoker's Dracula, which we then, in the end, are not much alike...) The beginning of rehearsals wasn't all that, due to my "motion sickness", I was walking around in a constant state of apathy and didn't understand much about anything....I can laugh about it now....
Anyway, the rehearsals were really interesting, fun, demanding, frustrating..... I had the pleasure to work with favourite old colleagues and the pleasure of working with "new" colleagues who were just great!!! Everybody "around" was new too, except for MD Koen Schoots..., and they were very sweet - although I have to pull Matthias Davids, our director, to the front. He is absolutely brilliant!!! He made me do things that I never thought I would be doing on stage, challenged me, actually made me have fun and wanting to be on stage again!!!! (Which was not the case after Les Mis...). I think the day I don't have fun in my profession, it's time to quit - not the time yet though....
Another very cool thing was of course meeting Frank Wildhorn personally, and of course Don Black and Christopher Hampton....He was extremely sweet to me, gave me compliments I didn't know wheter to believe or not - I was thinking, yeah, well, he IS american.... - but then Koen told me he does not lie, if he doesn't like you he will tell you straight to your face....!!!
But I think the best I ever got was on opening night, he simply said - thank you - "
